Summerfest in Milwaukee has set its dates for 2025 — and it’ll include Juneteenth programming for the first time in its 57-year history.
Organizers with Summerfest parent company Milwaukee World Festival Inc. are partnering with Northcott Neighborhood House, which hosts Juneteenth festivities in the city each year, to bring official Juneteenth programming to Maier Festival Park on Summerfest’s opening night, June 19.
“We are honored to collaborate with Northcott Neighborhood House, a leader in Milwaukee for decades, to celebrate the spirit of community, history, and culture of Juneteenth,” Sarah Pancheri, president and CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, said in a statement. “We look forward to providing new Juneteenth programming to our patrons.”
“Fostering a vibrant and inclusive community through music and culture not only enriches our city but also amplifies the significance of Juneteenth, celebrating freedom and unity,” Tony A. Kearney, executive director of Northcott Neighborhood House, said in a statement. “We look forward to partnering with Summerfest to further enhance Milwaukee’s Juneteenth celebrations.”
The festival in 2025 will again run for three sets of three-day weekends, all Thursdays through Saturdays: June 19 to 21, June 26 to 28, and July 3 to 5.
