While festival season may be winding down at Henry Maier Festival Park for the year, it’s already time to start thinking about next year’s Summerfest. That’s because on Wednesday, Summerfest revealed its 2025 dates, which will include a celebration of Juneteenth for the first time in festival history.

Summerfest will return for three weekends in 2025, taking place from Thursday-Saturday on June 19-21, June 26-28, and July 3-5 of next year.

In addition to the 2025 dates, the festival also announced a new partnership with Northcott Neighborhood House, which hosts Milwaukee’s Juneteenth festivities.

“We are honored to collaborate with Northcott Neighborhood House, a leader in Milwaukee for decades, to celebrate the spirit of community, history, and culture of Juneteenth,” said Sarah Pancheri, president and CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc via statement. “We look forward to providing new Juneteenth programming to our patrons.”

The 2025 Big Gig will mark the fifth year of the three-weekend format for the festival, which had previously been an 11-day event. Summerfest began the format in 2021, following the cancellation of the 2020 festival due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

No headliners have been announced for next year just yet, but stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for all of the developments surrounding Summerfest 2025 over the next 315 days and counting. Is it too early to pre-order a Saz’s sampler platter?
