Barrett is proud to announce its Juneteenth 150th Founders Day Celebration, a historic event honoring the enduring legacy of Harrison Barrett and celebrating the vibrant culture and history of this beloved town. The celebration will take place on June 14 at the Riley Chambers Community Center, offering a day filled with education, entertainment and cultural pride. 

This milestone event chaired by Shalonica Cluse and co-chaired by Tonya Eaglin is expected to welcome more than 200 community members, descendants and guests. The day’s events will include a community parade, historical exhibits, live entertainment and a formal program honoring local educators and town leaders. It is free and open to the public.
